At the funeral
At the funeral they had tea and jam and scones.
But I didn’t have any.
At the funeral many of my friends and relatives gave speeches.
But I didn’t say a word.
At the funeral many went for a walk around the yard,
But I just rested.
Although I didn’t join in the same way as all my relatives and friends, I still think it was a beautiful day.
I had never been to a funeral before and it is strange to think that the very first one I would attend, would be my own.
I was there at my own funeral,
I was there definitely in spirit.
