Behind the words

Behind the words,

those noble words of dignity

honor

and righteousness,

was a scoundrel.

I knew it,

a few of my comrades knew it,

but the rest of the world thought of him as a “gentleman.”

They were soon to find out different however

for behind those

well chosen

sweet sounding words,

lie a tyrant.

I only wished they had listened to me.

So many lives were lost!

From behind those words he couldn’t have hid himself better if he was standing behind a brick wall.
