Editing

After the writer has hurried down the words,

it will soon be time for ‘editing.’

But not before the words are (metaphorically speaking)

put out in the pasture for the cows to mull over, or

left out in the sun to bake,

only then will it be time to re- read, to edit.

For after some time has expired it will be time (once again) for reflection,

and maybe then you may think;

Where did that come from!?

Who wrote that!?

And if you are very lucky the thought may occur to you;

“Oh, I like how this is written, gee! I’m clever”
