Flickering light

To the flickering candle light

within the monasteries walls,

the monks chant their preys.

To the flickering strobe lights

at the disco party,

the young celebrate their teenage years.

--------

To the flickering light

of the weapons of war,

the soldiers fight fiercely to win.

Each and every one of us responding in our own way,

to the flickering light ‘without,’

to the flickering light ‘within.’

-------

Living out life to the flickers we grow,

then, only to fade and to

again! become.

Emerging and dieing as life forever beats,

it's eternal

‘life light drum’ to form;

the flickering light.

The eternal, flickering flickering light.
