Book 37 Page 33

Gentle in looks, harsh in reality

Those political and military

gentle faced, / gently spoken men,

urged us to war.

Could be someone’s grandfather,

more likely someone’s figurative ‘executioner.’

And with their seemingly compassionate words,

they make their case.

Hiding at all cost,

their sinister haste.

Hiding at all cost

what will be the material

and human waste,

of war.

In them is the abuse of the ‘father figure,’

lurking,

ready to be hurting

all on behalf of you.

Always they say, “on behalf of you”

at the expense of another,

at the expense of your

sisters and brothers.

Beware!

they have in their hearts a ‘taste for war,’

and they want you to taste it to.

‘They’ with their ‘gentle and smart appearance,’

and an ever comfortable and confident smile.

Hiding all the while

their hidden (deeply hidden) intent for war.

That ‘insidious need’

to even scores.

For they want what they want and it is for them, always,

if it is for war.

Could be someone’s grandfather,

For sure their ganna take away someone else’s grandfather.

Those gentle looking men,

with their not so gentle ‘plans for war.’
