Book 20 Page 44

I’m a crazy poet

I’m a crazy poet,

I write about ‘everything.’

And if you say something interesting

I’ll put it in a song to sing.

I’ll sing about the birds,

I’ll sing about the trees.

Everything in life to me

makes me sing so merrily.

I’ll sing for political change,

I’ll sing for things to stay the same.

I’ll sing about two sticks rubbing together,

I’ll sing ‘life,’ come what may.

I’ve written songs about beetles,

and about the moon above.

I’ve written about magnificent things,

but of course my favorite topic’s ‘love.’

For I’m a crazy poet,

I’m full of rhythm and rhyme.

This is how I see life.

Simply put; I’m the “crazy poetic kind.”
