Lord, save us from the ignorant

Lord, save us from the ignorant.

I know that we are all your beloved creatures,

but lord, please save me from your beloved ignorant.

I know that the world is full of many types, all beautiful and blessed in your eyes.

The ignorant, / the power seekers, / the hypocrites,

but could you do something about so many of them coming to my front door!

O Lord, what I’m really asking when I say the words;

“Save us from the ignorant” is;

could you save ‘me’ from them!?

Could you do me this one favor lord?

Save me from the ignoramuses of this world.

They are such a pain, / such a drain on my energies.

And O lord, could you especially protect me from the well meaning ignorant,

for they are of the worst kind.

This I humbly prey O lord,

one of your more enlightened creatures.
