Book 20 Page 40

My cup is empty

My cup is empty

I cannot see far.

I cannot open the doors

in front of me ajar.

It seems I have used up all my hope,

I’m blinded by the dark.

And all around me I see ‘selfishness,’

and schools of savage sharks.

My eyes are shut to love,

my mind has been drawn inwards.

For as I look upon the world I see injustices

on all sides and onwards.

My cup it seems is empty,

my love has all dried up.

And now I look down into the well,

of my living cup.
