Not if you have Jesus

“Not if you have Jesus,” they said;

You’ll never be down and out,

You’ll never be unhappy,

You’ll never be poor in spirit,

“not if you have Jesus in your heart.”

And so on that day many hundreds of years ago, many were saved.

And so those saved souls repeated to all who come their way,

You’ll never be poor,

“Not if you have Jesus,”

Not if you have Jesus,

Not if you have Jesus.

And after several hundred years of this kind of affirmation the world was converted to Christianity. For the world began to believe that good things were simply not possible, without Jesus.

Many of course say that this is a good thing, but some; (with other gods in their hearts) wonder at the world harsh stance upon them, because they dare to live without Jesus and still be happy.
