Please don’t blow up the world

O I hope they don’t blow up the world,

it’s such a very, very nice place, don’t you think!?

I hope they don’t blow up the entire planet,

it would be such an; unnecessary waste.

But I hear they’ve got enough weapons stock piled

to blow earth to smithereens ten times.

O I hope they don’t do that and realize,

that it’s not only theirs but also; yours and mine.

I mean, it’s not really right! is it!?

Just because we’ve let them stock pile weapons

while we’ve all simply turned a blind eye.

That doesn’t give them the right does it it!?

to go ahead and try!?

And just because we’ve all actually supported and encouraged them,

with our hard earned money in tax.

This doesn’t mean that they’ve got the right

to go ahead and; give us all the axe! does it?!

Now! I would think they’ve got more sense.

but to tell you the truth, I can’t be certain.

So can some body do something about all these weapons we’ve stocked piled

before this theatre of planetary life gets the final curtain.

O I hope they don’t blow up the world.

They wouldn’t do that! would they!?
