The TV’s on

The TV's on, its neon light are a flashing.

The TV’s on,but there’s no one in the room ‘a'listening.’

There’s a woman on the screen expressing a thousand words,

but there's no one in the room, so she hasn’t been heard.

There’s an orchestra playing, pouring their soul and hearts out,

but no one’ about!

There’s a man discussing life’s more ‘subtle truths’

in that ‘three by four’ TV booth.

Someone’s left the TV on and that someone has gone

and the TV's just going on, and on, and on.
