The small Mercies of the lord

Father O’Riely and father O’Brien

Father O’Brien?

Yes father O’Riely.

What a lovely day it is today!

The sun’s shinning,

the birds are singing,

there’s butterfly’s in the air.

Yes father O’Riely, thank god for small mercies.

But father O’Brien!

I don’t consider them to be ‘small’ mercies.
