The time captured

The photograph

Images on a piece of paper forming /

an image in mind,

ignoring the flow of moments,

locked in a ‘piece of time.’

A piece of time captured,

in a flash the moment is framed,

making that moment forever and ever always

eternally the same.

Frozen on a piece of paper,

a smile ,  a pose  , a laugh ,

a picture of a time and a place captured

in a photograph.

As time is captured

it’s made to stand still,

photograph sitting-

on the mantle sill.
