The violent mind set
We don’t want anything from you,
we just want to enlighten…
You the enemy,
you who have not got the correct ideology.
So we will come upon your land
with arms a plenty,
and soldiers a many,
and liberate you.
For you need liberating.
Your minds are not quite cultured.
So we know what’s best
for you!
And in the image of ourselves,
make yourselves.
And then when our mission is accomplished,
you will, (we trust) ‘thank us’.
And if you do not,
well, we will righteously be perplexed.
For we mean only well,
in our particular religious and political context.
But even if you do not thank us,
we are strong enough, confident enough to know;
it was all for
your own good.
And it is for your own good!
Of this we are supremely sure
as we come uninvited
upon your shores.
As we come with
arms a plenty,
and soldiers a many,
to liberate you.
