The words of the poet spoke truth

which brought empowerment and self dignity and might.

The words of the poet fell like gentle rain.

The words of the poet brought pain.

The words of the poet caressed

and spoke of a ‘timelessness.’

For the words of the poet showed vision,

but the ‘meanings’ of the poet were sometimes not heard.

For the thoughts of the poet were at times

beyond the confines of ‘words.’
