Twitching fingers

At the twinge of a finger the guns fire.

So was the way of the last two world wars.

Now at the twitch of a finger the icon are selected on the computer and people die.

So is the ways of ‘wars today.’

In both cases, great destruction occurs at the slightest twinge of our fingers.

From gun trigger to computer icon

Killing has indeed become a ‘high tech thing.’

Such a clever and creative creature we are,

Forever creating ingenious machinery

to place under our twitching frightened fingers.
