Get up, you are healed

“Get up, you are healed” said Jesus.

“Is that it” said the admirer,

“is that all I have to do, just get up and I’m healed!?”

“Yes” said Jesus, “it is that simple.”

“But what has healed me,

why do I deserve to be healed just like that!?”

“You were made sick ‘just like that’

you may also be healed just like that.”

And the man stood up, wide eyed,

enthusiastically shaking the hand of Jesus saying,

“Was it you or me that made me healed?”

And Jesus replied.

“You may spend the rest of your life examining this question if you wish.

When you find the answer, we shall both be more closely joined.

And at that point you will know both the reason for your cure as well as your sickness.”

“Go now and be yourself.”

O Jesus, don’t you mean that I should, ‘sin no more?’

“Yes that to, for they are one of the ‘same thing.”’
