I could serenade you forever

I could serenade you forever,

but my guitar has broken strings.

I could write you a love poem,

but my pencil is broken too.

I could kneel at the bosom of your heart,

if it wasn’t for me arthritis.

I could dine you with expensive food and wine

but the super market shut ten minutes ago.

I could kiss you and love you forever

but sorry love, we haven’t got time,

Cause the footy starts in just, five minutes time.
