Television
Television, dreamy land.
Reality, Disneyland.
Turn the channel, change the mood,
nothing much else to do.
Sounds and sights, spectacular.
Eyes a glowing, like two bright stars.
A life time of adventure, right there on the screen.
From one spot in an arm chair, Oh the places I’ve seen.
Not knowing for sure, who I’ve become.
Images blending
into a conglomerate of one,
telling me how
I should think and feel.
I’m spinning I’m spinning,
like a video real.
Past and present,
fiction or fact.
Involvement, happiness or sadness,
detached.
News mixed with fantasy,
to add to the thrill.
Not knowing for sure,
what’s false,
what’s real.
Television,
dreamy land.
Reality,
Disneyland.
Turn the channel,
change the mood,
Nothing much else to do.
