The window performance

Fly upon the window

trying to escape

before the sun gets too hot and it

all becomes too late.

Buzzing left, / buzzing right,

buzzing up and down.

In his glassy prison, ...

bound.

Latter he;

buzzes on the window ‘sill’

when it’s near enough.

This will be ‘the final act’

before the fly gives up.

And this dance of death

is not ‘pretend’

for soon the flies life will

tragically end;

and for this fly

the curtain will close.

Then I’ll; sweep it off the window sill

and in the bin it goes.
