A prey at supper time

To this food I am about to eat,

I wish to be aware and give thanks for the animal that die.

I wish to be aware of the earth for these vegetables.

I wish to be aware of the earth and the cosmic forces that created it.

May I honor earth and nature.

I wish to be aware of my own - and others role - in bringing this food to my table.

And so now I shall eat and shall live another day,

so I may give; further thanks.
