Failed experiment

She said “"she loves me,"”

but I think she was just experimenting with the words.

She said “"she adored me,"”

but I think she was just testing my reaction.

She said “"she wanted me,”"

but I think it was just the scientist in her talking.

She said "she loved me,"”

but considering the way she treated me at the end,

I thing I must have become 'a failed experiment.’'
