Hey Buddha

“Hey Buddha!

How long have you been sitting there,

pretending not to have a worry or a care?

A thousand! two thousand! four thousand years!?

Sitting there calmly, abandoning, (or is it,) ‘ignoring’ fear.

“Well I’ve got some news for you!

While you’ve been meditating things on earth haven’t been quite right.

So why don’t’ you open your eyes Mr. Buddha

and look around at our pitiful human plight?”

“How about if I tickle you under here!?

I say; I wonder what’s makes a big fat Buddha winch?

How about if I pull your nose!

I bet you that’ll make you flinch!”

“How much longer are you ganna stay meditating,

sitting there blissfully in your lotus position, ‘levitating?’

Come on! we humans down here on earth,

we could do with your mastery help.”

So I say; “hey Buddha!

Yer you! I’m talking to you!

The ancient one, the enlightened one!

I bet you a thousand dollars, you couldn’t open your eyes.”
