I did not say it would be easy

I did not say it would be easy,

I only said “it would be worth it!”

I didn’t say it would be breezy,

Did I!? did I!?

I didn’t say that there wouldn’t be ups and downs.

I didn’t say that from time to time there would not be heartaches and frowns.

I didn’t say that,

Did I!?

And we didn’t come together just for the fun,

we came together to make two into one.

And for sure this is what it has become,

Hasn’t it!?

I did not say it was going to be all easy,

I only said it would be worth it!

I didn’t say it would be all breezy,

Did I!?
