In a perfect world

The great philosopher began his speech by saying;

“in a perfect world.”

He then proceeded to describe his thoughts in his usual long winded philosophical style.

Upon completion of his speech, a reply came from the audience from an uneducated, unsophisticated peasant who had spent his entire life working the fields not far away.

“Well! were not living in a perfect world now are we?”

To this there was ‘deafly silence.’
