Was there
something you forgot to say Mr Jung
Before
you read my poems below, first some notes on the psychologist Carl Jung from the
web site;

Carl Jung
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Carl Gustav Jung (July 26, 1875, Kesswil, Switzerland–June 6, 1961, Küsnacht) (IPA:[ˈkarl ˈgʊstaf ˈjʊŋ]) was a Swiss psychiatrist and founder of Analytical Psychology. His approach to human psychology emphasized understanding the psyche through exploring the world of dreams, art, mythology, world religion and philosophy. He was a strong believer in the importance of integration of opposites (e.g. masculine and feminine, thinking and feeling, science and spirituality). Though not the first to analyze dreams, his contributions to dream analysis were influential and extensive. Although he was a theoretical psychologist and practicing clinician for most of his life, many of his studies extend into other realms of the humanities: from comparative religion and philosophy, to criticism of art and literature. (Interestingly, Jungian ideas are seldom mentioned in college psychology courses while they are often explored in humanities courses.)
Was there
something you forgot to say Mr Jung
Was
there something you forgot to say Mr Jung?
Something that escaped your great intellectual tongue.
Because, there’s still a lot of people confused with your ideas,
still
puzzled and bemused!
There’s
confused about your ideas on ‘astrology.’
And
also on your thoughts on ‘ancient mythology.’
At your
time, Darwin had just introduced the theory of the ‘evolution of man.’
Yet you
were talking about the ‘greater spiritual plan.’
It
seems that Sigmund Fruad had some axe to grind with you,
talking
non stop about the ‘repressed subconscious mind.’
While
you were teaching the world about the, ‘soul of mankind’
he was
talking about the subject of ‘where the sun don’t shine. ‘
So I
suppose you two didn’t get along, / you were not the best of mates.
For
just to survive you would have to exercise his type of ‘Fruadian restraint.’
Cause I
can only imagine his opinion if asked,
“Collective unconscious,” my ….. goodness! he would say.
And now
some fifty plus years latter I must say
your
still way out on the psychological fringes.
Cause
it’s still in ‘physically reality,’ that our belief system still hinges.
Our
psychology does not talk with your kind ‘spiritual tongue.’
So I
suppose your still ‘out on the fringe,’ Mr Jung.
In your day, the world had only just been declared, flat not round.
You must have threw them completely and confound.
(Burn) Some folks never learn.
And that Sigmund Fraud! sure had an axe to grind?
you were way ahead of your time.
) on the best of terms.
And what about Sigmund Fraud! didn’t he have an axe to grind?
