Suicide
An attempt at suicide,
An attempt to extinguish, the mighty ‘I.’
Looking for a place to hide,
No longer want to live under earth’s blue skies.
Looking for a place, ‘not to be.’
No longer wants to be, ‘that me.’
Too many places providing pain.
In life’s stormy torturous game.
Wanting desperately a peaceful sleep.
Don’t want no more to weep.
Trying to escape life’s painful grip.
One step over the mountain to slip.
A slip or a jump, feels like I can fool myself, can’t decide!
In two minds about suicide.
Outwardly I cry.
Inwardly I die.
Looking to extinguish the I.
A way out I think! in suicide.
Don’t want no longer to try,
so I look to suicide.
