The budget’s come down
The budget has come down, and all around,
there are people busy taking notes.
Hoping like me that life will be ‘easier,’
or at least that’s what we hope.
They say the government will spend more.
Increases for the poor.
Increases for the pensioners and the unemployed.
And for those families who have the least, families allowance will be increased.
“Good new” they say for all the under privileged girls and boys.
But I just don’t believe it!
I’ll believe it when I see it.
So until then; I’ll just ‘knock on wood.’
For I’ll believe it when I receive it,
only then will I,
‘believe it.’
For the budget come down today and it just all sounds too good.
