The lord provides

“The lord provides” said the devout Christian.

“The lord provides for your food, / your shelter, / your economic / social and spiritual needs.”

“Well if the Lord provides” I said, “does he provide for that bus that comes along and flattens you to death!?”

“The lord provide,” said the Christian, and I thought to myself,

“now gee, there’s faith if I ever saw it!”
