The sun’s shinning though

It’s a sunny day today

but inside my mind ‘it’s raining.’

I’m feeling blue and thinking of you,

but still! I can feel the sun shinny through.

‘You and me’ we’ve come a long way,

through storms and hail and rain.

And I do want to say to you

the suns slowly shinning through.

I’ve been thinking of what you meant when you said,

“You need your own space.”

And me! with all my haste.

I felt like the whole world come crashing down above me.
