The wondering philosophers

The basic tenant of any philosopher is to ‘wonder about things.’

If the philosopher ‘wonders’ but yet stay close to convention,

We may call them ‘an academic.’

If the philosopher wonders as to how thing work,

We may call them a ‘scientist.’

If the philosopher ‘wonders’ about ‘strange places,’

We may call them ‘crazy.’

If the philosopher ‘wonders’ about un chartered territory.

We may call them a ‘seer.’

And if they ‘wonder’ where we don’t want them to ‘wonder.’

We may crucify them.
