What can men do against such recklessness?
What can men do against such recklessness,
when evil people insist on violence and malevolent?
What can good men do but ‘go to war?’
And in that ‘war’ show little mercy,
less the other side gets the upper hand,
allowing them to get possession of even more resources and land.
For when all the diplomatic measures amount to zero, /
when all the other side has to say is “no,”
what can good men do but… war!?
What can men do against such recklessness
with the likes of Hitler and Saddam Hussein?
Men with intend that’s sheer insane.
What can men do!?
And so I have listened to those arguments against war.
And I too have wondered “what is war for!”
And around and around I go, thinking;
what can men do against such recklessness?
